Kumaran Electronics

We’ve been here at Shyam Sadan for quite a while now. It’s on the ground floor, right across from Bhel Enclave on Akbar Road. Most people know the spot because of the traffic near Tarbund. The shop is full of electronics and parts that we keep organized on these old metal shelves. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and cleaning the dust off the glass counters. It gets pretty busy around here during the afternoons when people are out running errands. You can hear the noise from the street all day long, mostly horns and the occasional bus. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan and someone testing a component. We keep a lot of items in the back room because the main area isn't that large. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving boxes from one side to the other. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we go when things get slow. Most of the customers are regulars from the neighborhood or technicians looking for something specific they can’t find elsewhere. It’s a practical setup, nothing fancy about the interiors or how we do things. We just handle the electronics and try to keep everything in order. The address is 115, Ground Floor, so it's easy to find once you get to Tarbund. We've seen the area change a lot over the years but Kumaran Electronics stays mostly the same.
