Kumar Motor Driving School

In East Marredpally, right near the old Dena Bank building, you’ll find Kumar Motor Driving School. We are in Flat No 102 on Addagutta Road, though most of our time is spent out on the streets in the practice car. Learning to drive in Hyderabad can be a bit stressful, especially with all the traffic around 10-3-13/A. We’ve seen all kinds of students, from young kids getting their first license to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. The car we use isn’t new, but it’s reliable and has seen a lot of miles. We spend a lot of time explaining the clutch and the gears while the students try not to stall in the middle of a busy intersection. It takes a lot of patience to sit in the passenger seat all day. The office is just a small room where we handle the paperwork and keep the schedules. There are maps of the local roads pinned to the board. We start early in the morning when the roads are a bit quieter. Sometimes we have to take a break because the heat gets to be too much. It’s a basic business, but people know us in the neighborhood. We just take things one lesson at a time and hope the students don't grind the gears too hard.
