Working at Prakasam Heavy Engineering Pvt. Ltd. means dealing with a lot of heavy stuff every single day. Our place is at H No 152/2, and since we are right near Gate No 3 of Vivekananda Nagar Colony, it’s usually quite easy to find us. The gates are almost always open because there’s something being moved in or out. It’s loud, honestly. The machines we have in here are big and they make a lot of noise that echoes off the walls. You can smell the oil and the cooling fluids as soon as you walk into the yard. We aren’t really the type to sit in an air-conditioned office. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor at 152/2 checking on the progress or moving parts around. It gets dusty, especially during the dry months. The guys usually have their lunch under the shade of the big tree near the entrance. It’s a pretty regular routine for us here in Vivekananda Nagar Colony. People from the other shops nearby come over if they need to borrow a tool or just to see what we are working on. It’s a tight space when the big trucks come through Gate No 3, but we manage. We just focus on getting the heavy parts sorted and out the door when they are ready. It’s plain work, nothing too complicated to explain.
