Up here on the third floor of the office building, it gets surprisingly quiet even though we’re right in the middle of Banjara Hills. Being above the Prakash showroom means we always know when they’re having a big sale because the street gets even more crowded than usual. We can see the IIM from across the way, which is a nice view when you’re taking a break from the computer screens. Bhs Sonthofen (India) has been in this Erramanzil spot for a while now, and the office has that lived-in feel with stacks of manuals and a few plants that someone forgets to water. It’s a lot of technical work, talking about mixers and industrial machines, which isn’t something everyone finds interesting, but it's what we do. The elevator in this building is a bit slow, so a lot of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. It keeps us moving, I guess. We aren’t really the type to have big meetings with fancy slides; it’s more about sitting around the desk and trying to figure out how to get a part shipped to some site on time. Sometimes we stay late because the time difference with other offices means the phone starts ringing just when we’re thinking about heading home. It's just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a busy part of the city.
