Ramesh Watch Co.

Ramesh Watch Co. is up on the 4th floor of Mig 330. You have to go past the Laxmi Vilas Bank and head up. It’s a bit of a climb but we’ve been here in Kphp Colony for a while now. The room is filled with clocks and watches. Some work and some are just sitting there waiting for parts. It gets a bit dusty with all the small pieces lying around on the desks. We spend most of our mornings opening up cases and looking through those little magnifying glasses. It’s quiet work mostly. The traffic down on the street can get loud especially during rush hour but up here it’s different. We see people from the neighborhood coming in with broken straps or batteries that died months ago. Sometimes the elevator is finicky so people take the stairs. The light in the afternoon hits the glass cases just right. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. It’s just how things are run here. We keep track of the time on all the different clocks on the wall and they never quite chime at the same second. It’s a bit of a mess of ticking sounds if you stop to listen. Kphp Colony has changed a lot over the years but this spot above the bank stays pretty much the same.
