Sm Furniture

Sm Furniture is right over by the Kims Hospital in Kondapur. If you have ever been to that part of town, you know the traffic is always a bit crazy around there. We have a workshop space where there is always the sound of sawing or hammering going on. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of sawdust no matter how much we sweep it. We have a few carpenters who are always busy with something, whether it is fixing a chair or putting together a new wardrobe. We keep some of the finished pieces near the front so people can see them, but most of the space is for the actual work. The smell of wood and polish is pretty strong as soon as you walk in. People from the neighborhood often stop by to ask about repairs. It’s a messy, busy place, but that is how a furniture shop should be, I think. We have lived in the Kondapur area for a long time, so we know most of the shopkeepers nearby. Sometimes we are short on space and have to move things out onto the pavement for a bit while we work. It’s just us doing the daily grind, making sure the wood is cut right and the joints are strong before anything leaves the shop. We don't have any fancy brochures, just the work we do right here in the workshop. It gets the job done.
