Khetan Steel Traders

Khetan Steel Traders operates from 11-186/1 on Shivalayam Road in Fathe Nagar. Steel is a heavy business, and our yard reflects that. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever visit, with stacks of rods and sheets everywhere you look. We spend a lot of our day out in the yard, checking the inventory and supervising the loading of trucks. Shivalayam Road can get pretty busy with transport vehicles, which is good for business but makes for a lot of dust and noise. We’ve been trading steel here for a long time, so we know the local market pretty well. We don't use a lot of fancy software to track things; a lot of it is still done with paper and a good memory. The sun can be quite harsh out in the yard, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who understand the different grades of steel and what they are used for. People come to us because they know we are here and we have the stock. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish loading a big order, but that’s just how it goes. It’s a tough, physical business, but it’s honest. We don't make big promises, we just supply the material that people need for their construction or manufacturing work. It is hard work, but we have been at it for years.
