Keerthana Kirana & General Store

This store has been sitting here in Vennala Gadda for a good bit now. Being in Jeedimetla, we see all sorts of people coming through. It's a kirana store, so we've got a bit of everything shoved onto the shelves. Rice, dals, soaps, and those small toy packets kids like. The space is a little tight because we try to fit as much as we can in here. Sometimes I struggle to remember where I put the smaller items, but I eventually find them. It's just me and a couple of others keeping things moving. We don't have a big corporate team or anything fancy. Just a local shop at 4/5741. We stay open pretty late because people always forget something for dinner at the last minute. It's a busy neighborhood and we try to keep up with what everyone wants. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by. Other days, we can barely keep up with the weighing and bagging. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon is really heavy, so we have to move the grain bags around to keep them dry. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you’ve been in the same building for years. Our shop is a bit of a point where people stop and chat. We don't mind. We keep a few chairs near the front for the older folks who need a rest after walking to the store. It is a simple life.
