Katuri Medical College

You’ll find us in Katuri Nagar, over in the Serilingampally area. It’s become quite a busy part of the outskirts recently, with more buildings going up every month. When the college first started, it felt a bit more tucked away, but now the city has grown around us. The campus is a decent size, and we spend a lot of our time walking between the different blocks. It’s got that typical feel of a medical campus—lots of white coats and people looking tired but busy. The sun in this part of the country can be pretty brutal, so everyone looks for the shady spots under the trees during lunch breaks. We have a lot of students from different states, so the cafeteria is a mix of different languages and smells. It’s not a fancy corporate hospital; it’s a place for learning and working. Some of the equipment is top-notch, while other things, like the benches in the waiting area, have seen a lot of years. We don’t put on a show for anyone. We just show up, do the shifts, and handle whatever comes through the gate. Traffic around Serilingampally can be a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early. It’s a straightforward life here, just trying to keep the place running and the students focused on their exams and their future work.
