Kashmir Harvard Higher Secondary School

Our school is set up on Moula Ali Road at Door No 41-22/2. It’s a fairly large building that you can’t really miss if you’re driving through the Moula Ali area. Every morning begins with the students lining up for the assembly in the front area. It’s usually a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road passing by at the same time. We have several floors of classrooms, and the higher secondary students occupy the upper levels. The stairs are always busy, especially when the lunch bell rings. Inside the rooms, we have basic wooden desks and some old fans that hum a lot. We spend a lot of time in the staff room grading papers and drinking tea. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. The walls have some charts and maps pinned up, some of which are a bit faded from the sun. We have a small gate where the buses pull in and out, which can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. The neighborhood is mostly residential and commercial mixed together, so there are always people around. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a place for students to come and get through their curriculum. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we have a pretty set routine that doesn’t change much. It’s just another day on Moula Ali Road for us. We stay until the last student leaves.
