Jd (Join For Development) Foundation

We are located a bit further out than most, in Shankarpally Village. The Jd (Join For Development) Foundation is situated at Survey Number 249 within the Shankarpally Mandal of the Rangareddi district. It’s quite a change from the middle of Hyderabad. Out here, the air feels a bit different and there’s more open space around the building. We work on development projects, and being right in the village helps us stay connected to what’s actually happening on the ground. The office is a straightforward building, nothing too modern, and it can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up across the fields. We don't have many of the conveniences of a city office, but we have a good connection with the local people. Most of our day is spent traveling to nearby sites or sitting in the office planning out the next steps for our projects. We usually eat lunch together, often bringing food from home or getting something simple from the village shops nearby. The commute from the city can be long, so many of us stay late to make the most of the day. It’s a quiet place to work compared to the city, except when there’s a festival or a local market day. We’ve become a regular part of the landscape here over time. Sometimes the local cows block the path to the office entrance.
