Ishaq Kirana& General Store

I open up the shop early every morning here in Feelkhana. It’s a busy little lane, especially being right there near the Taj Hotel. Most people around here know us because they’ve been coming to this spot for their daily needs since forever. We’ve got the usual stuff on the shelves, from soaps to sacks of rice and the small packets of biscuits the kids like. It stays pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home and remembers they forgot some salt or oil. The shop address is 15-1-320/1, so we’re tucked into Old Feelkhana. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic passing through the lane, but that’s just how it is in this part of Hyderabad. I spend a lot of time just rearranging things and talking to the regulars who stop by for a minute. Sometimes it’s just one person looking for a specific brand of tea, and other times it’s a whole family getting their monthly supplies. We don’t have anything fancy here at Ishaq Kirana& General Store, just the things people actually use in their kitchens. It’s a simple life running a store like this. You see the same faces every day and you get to know what everyone prefers. If the rain comes, people huddle under the small roof outside for a bit. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where we try to keep enough stock so nobody has to go elsewhere for the basics.
