We are located in Flat No 9 of the Sai Sadan Apartment building in Balkampet. The address is 7-1-282/E. Since it is a residential building, it feels more like a home than a real office. We actually like it that way. Being in Balkampet means we are right in the middle of a very busy and loud part of Hyderabad. The sounds of the street and the temple nearby always come in through the windows. We focus on environment and social development, which keeps us pretty busy most days. There is usually a pile of seedlings or some old recycling bins near the entrance of the flat. It is not the neatest place you will ever see, but we know where everything is kept. We do not have a big staff. It is usually just two or three of us working here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how to get more people in the neighborhood involved. We do not use big words or try to sound like we know everything. We are just learning as we go. Sometimes the lift in the building does not work, so we have to walk up. It keeps us moving. We do not have any glossy brochures to hand out. If you want to know what we are doing, we will just tell you. It is a straightforward operation. We do not have any secret plans or big corporate goals. We just want things to be better.
