Iiit Hyderabad

Our address is B 522 in the Ngos Colony, over in Vanasthalipuram. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s quieter than the main city center of Hyderabad. We’ve been operating Iiit Hyderabad from here for a while. The building is a regular house that we’ve converted into a working space. It feels a bit like home, which is nice when you’re working long hours on a project. We have computers set up in the main rooms and some books piled up in the corners. Most of our work is about education and data, so there’s a lot of typing and reading involved. We have a small kitchen where we heat up our lunches every day. Sometimes we sit out on the porch for a break if the weather isn't too hot or dusty. The neighbors know us, and we try not to make too much noise. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don't have glossy brochures or a big marketing team behind us. We just do the work that needs to be done. We use the pinboard in the hallway to track schedules. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know our way around it. It’s a practical, local setup that works for us. Living and working in Vanasthalipuram has its own rhythm, and we’re just part of the neighborhood, doing our bit every day without any fuss. The mail arrives at noon usually and we stay until the tasks are finished.
