Bharat Abrasives

Our workshop is located at 6 33 in Nehru Nagar, specifically along the G R Road in Ida Jeedimetla. This is an industrial area through and through. At Bharat Abrasives, we make things that are meant to grind and smooth down other materials. Because of that, the whole place is usually covered in a fine layer of grit and dust. It doesn't matter how much we sweep or blow the floors out, it always comes back by noon. We’ve got various machines for the cutting and the coating processes, and they make a fair bit of racket. It’s a loud environment, so we usually wear earplugs most of the shift. The G R Road outside is always full of heavy lorries and it can get quite dusty out there too. We aren't a big name you’d see on billboards or anything like that. We just supply the local industries with what they need to get their own jobs done. Most of our day is spent watching the machines and making sure the abrasive mixture is exactly how it needs to be. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting heavy bags of raw materials and moving finished crates onto the pallets. We’ve been in Jeedimetla long enough to know most of the guys in the neighboring units. We help each other out when someone’s short on a tool. It’s not a clean job, but it’s what we know.
