Hira Kirana Stores

Hira Kirana Stores is located at 12-1-1133 on the Main Road in Mallepally. We are very near to the Blue Moon Bakery. Sometimes the smell of fresh biscuits from the bakery comes right into our shop. Mallepally is a very old and crowded part of Hyderabad. The traffic on the main road never seems to stop. We sell all kinds of grains, pulses, and cooking oils. The bags of rice are stacked in the back. It’s a bit dark inside the store because the buildings around us are so tall and close together. We have been here for a long time. People around here know us as the place to get their monthly groceries. We don't have a computer system, everything is written in a notebook. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right page. We use a manual scale for some of the loose items. It’s how we have always done it. The shop gets very busy before the festivals. Everyone wants their supplies at the same time. We try our best to serve everyone quickly but there’s only so much space. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to get it done. It’s a lively neighborhood with a lot of noise and shouting from the street. We just stay in our corner and keep the kirana business running for the folks around Mallepally who need us.
