Hi-Tech Machine Tools

Hi-Tech Machine Tools is based out of Flat No-4-161 in Madhavinagar, which is in the Ferozguda area near Balanagar. It is more of a workshop than what you would normally think of as a flat. Balanagar is famous for its machinery and tool shops, so we are right in the thick of it. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of heavy tools and metal equipment stored in a relatively small area. The walls are lined with racks holding different types of cutters, bits, and hand tools. It smells like machine oil and cold metal in here, which is something you just get used to after a few days. The floor is made of rough concrete and has plenty of scratches from moving heavy boxes around. We spend most of our time helping people find the exact tool they need for a specific job, and sometimes we have to dig through several bins to find the right size. It is a very local operation, and we see a lot of the same faces coming in from the nearby small-scale industries. Madhavinagar is a bit of a maze of small streets, but once you find our building, it’s easy to spot the workshop. We don't have any fancy displays; the tools are just out where they can be reached. It’s a honest, grimy, and very busy little corner of Hyderabad.
