Hari Prasad Memorial Hospital

The hospital is over here at 21-1-684 Rikab Gun, which most people around here know pretty well by now. We’ve been Hari Prasad Memorial Hospital for quite some time. It is not a fancy glass building or anything like that. Just a normal place where people come when they are not feeling great. I spend most of my mornings checking the charts and making sure the waiting area isn't too cluttered with old magazines. The street outside can get a bit loud with the rikshaws, but inside we try to keep things moving. It gets busy around noon. Sometimes the power flickers, but we have a backup that kicks in soon enough. Most of the nurses live close by, so they walk to work. We know the neighbors by name. It is a lot of work running a hospital in this part of town. You see all sorts of things every day. We just focus on getting through the patient list and making sure everyone gets seen. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, to be honest. But we spend more time on the equipment than the decor. It is just how it is. People come in, they get their checkups, and they head back out to Rikab Gun. We have seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here now. It makes the days feel long but also like they are going by way too fast. We just keep the doors open and do what we can for the people who walk in.
