Gyaan Junior & Degree College

Ameerpet is one of the busiest parts of Hyderabad, and Dharam Karam Road is no exception. Our college is at House No 7-1-71/E. It’s a bit of a tight spot with all the traffic and people moving around outside. Gyaan Junior & Degree College is right in the thick of it. We have students coming in for both junior college and their degrees. The stairs are always crowded between classes. It’s not a sprawling campus with grass and trees; it’s an urban building where every bit of space is used for a classroom or an office. I usually spend my morning sorting out the schedules or talking to students who are worried about their attendance. The fans are always humming to keep the Hyderabad heat away. We don't have a big parking lot, so bikes are usually crammed in wherever they fit. It’s a practical place for people who live and work in this part of the city. We use old-fashioned registers for a lot of our tracking because it just works better for us. There isn't any fancy lobby or a bunch of slogans on the walls. It’s just a place where people come to get their degrees. We keep the tea kettle going in the staff room and try to stay on top of the paperwork. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s just how Ameerpet is most of the time. We just deal with it.
