Grafiqe Signs

You can find Grafiqe Signs up on the second floor of the Maheswar Complex. We are right across from Sri Chaitanya College in Kukatpally. Being on the second floor means we have to carry materials up the stairs quite a bit, which is a good workout I guess. The complex is usually busy with students and people going about their business. We spend our days designing and putting together signs of all kinds. The room is often full of rolls of vinyl and pieces of board. It’s not a large space, but we make it work for us. Sometimes the fans don't quite keep it cool enough in the summer, but we keep going anyway. We started this because we like making things that people can see from the street. Kukatpally is a fast place, and things are always changing, but we have stayed in this spot. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take the measurements, look at the colors, and try to get the sign to look right. It is a lot of hands-on work. Sometimes we get a bit of help when a big order comes in. Mostly, it is just a routine of cutting, sticking, and checking. We like being near the college because there is always energy in the air. We keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the work. It’s a decent place to spend the day.
