If you head over to Saidabad and look for SV Meadows on Street No. 1 in Vinay Nagar, you’ll find Goldenratio Coffee Private Limited in Flat No. 301. It’s a bit tucked away, being on the third floor and all, but the smell of coffee usually lets you know you’re in the right place. We spend a lot of our time sorting through beans and testing out different ways to roast them. The apartment isn’t huge, so it gets a bit cramped when we have a new shipment of bags piled up in the hallway. We’re not some big factory; it’s just a few of us trying to make sense of the coffee business. Saidabad is a nice enough area, though parking near the building is always a struggle for anyone coming to visit. We have a couple of small machines and a lot of patience. Sometimes the neighbors ask about the noise, but mostly they just want to know when they can get a fresh cup. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the process. It’s a lot of measuring and checking temperatures, which can get a bit boring after a few hours. But then you taste a good batch and it feels worth the effort. We don't have a fancy storefront or anything, just our workspace where we try to get the ratios right for the beans.
