About Global Hospitals – Medical & Healthcare in Hyderabad
Working at Lakdi-Ka-Pul is always an experience. This part of Hyderabad is just non-stop. Our spot at Global Hospitals is right on the main stretch, numbers 1 to 4 in the block. You can hear the traffic and the sirens all day long. It’s a busy place. The building is older, and you can see it in the tiles and the way the doors creak. We try to keep things moving quickly because there is always someone else waiting. The doctors are always in a rush, moving from one room to another with their stethoscopes hanging around their necks. I’ve been working here for a while, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change so much. More shops, more cars, but the hospital stays pretty much the same. We deal with a lot of people who are just passing through this part of town. The morning shift is the hardest because everyone wants to be seen at once. We usually have a bit of a queue before the doors even open. By midday, the heat starts to pick up, and everyone gets a bit grumpy. We just keep going, though. We’ve got a good group of ward boys and cleaners who keep the place decent. It’s not a glamorous job, and the building isn't a five-star hotel, but it’s where we spend most of our lives. It feels honest. We drink a lot of chai to keep our energy up. It's just a regular part of the Lakdi-Ka-Pul landscape.
