Genesis Rocks & Minerals

Genesis Rocks & Minerals is located up on the first floor of Sona Arcade in Secunderabad. It’s a pretty busy spot because the Passport Office is right nearby, so there’s always people hanging around outside or looking for parking. We’ve been in this building for some time now. Being on the first floor means we have to carry things up and down, which isn't always fun, but we've got a system for it. The space is filled with different kinds of rocks and mineral samples we’ve collected. It’s not a huge showroom like you might see in a mall. It’s more of a workspace where we talk to people and look at stones. Some days it’s quiet and we just organize the files, and other days it’s a bit chaotic with people coming in. The light in the arcade isn't always the best, so we have some extra lamps to show off the colors in the minerals. Secunderabad is a crowded place to work, but it’s where everything happens. We just do our thing here every day, answering the phone and showing folks what we have in stock. It’s a lot of looking at textures and talking about where the different pieces came from. We don't really bother with fancy decorations in the office. It’s just us and the stones, really. Most of our visitors are just locals or people who heard about us through someone else. It's a simple, honest setup for us.
