Genesis International School

Genesis International School sits at Plot No 1-55/98/1 in the Miyapur area of Hyderabad. Miyapur has grown so much in the last few years and it is always crowded now. You can hear the cars and buses from our classrooms throughout the day. The school gate opens early and there is a lot of rushing around at eight in the morning. We have a few floors and the stairs can be a bit of a climb. In the staff room, we usually have our lunch together. It often smells like curry and pickles in there. The 500049 zip code is full of new apartment blocks now. We have a small area where the kids play, but it gets dusty when the wind blows. We try to sweep it often. The name Genesis International School is on the front, though the paint is peeling a little from the Hyderabad heat. We keep a lot of fans running in the summer to stay cool. The desks are mostly made of wood and some have marks on them from years of use. After the school buses leave in the evening, the whole place gets very quiet. We walk around to check the locks and turn off the lights. It is just a regular job for us and we have been at this spot for some time now.
