Ganesh Kirana And General Stores

We have been here at Plot No. 20 in Suryanagar Alwal for a good while now. The shop is right at H. No. 5-76/2. It is just a regular place where we keep the usual things people need every day. You will find stacks of rice bags in the corner and rows of soaps and shampoos on the wooden shelves. Every morning starts early, around six, when the milk packets arrive and we have to stack them in the cooler before the sun gets too hot. The floor is concrete and sometimes gets a bit dusty from the street traffic outside, but we sweep it when we can. Neighbors walk in for small things like a single packet of biscuits or some loose tea powder. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just the basic tube lights that flicker sometimes. There is a small counter where we sit and write accounts in a notebook. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work and wants to grab something for dinner. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in for sweets or a cold drink. We know most of the faces around here because they have been coming to this spot for years. It is just a simple way to make a living, keeping the shelves filled and making sure there is enough sugar and oil for the families in Alwal. We try to keep things stocked well so nobody has to go too far for their basic groceries.
