G Pulla Reddy Junior College

G Pulla Reddy Junior College is located in Pullereddy Bhavan, right in the Abids area of Hyderabad. Abids is one of the oldest and busiest parts of the city, so there is always a lot going on right outside our doors. The college is a junior college, meaning we have students in their eleventh and twelfth years. It’s a big building that’s been a landmark in this area for a long time. The students come from all over Telangana, actually, because we’re so centrally located. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the different classrooms and labs. It gets really crowded in the mornings when everyone is arriving. We have a lot of history here, but we don't really talk about that much; we just focus on the daily classes. The teachers are quite busy with the syllabus because the state exams are always a big deal. The office is usually full of people asking questions or sorting out their hall tickets. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic on the main road, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a lot of extra stuff like fancy lounges, just desks and chairs and the boards. It’s a hardworking place where students spend most of their day studying. We just keep the doors open and the lights on, making sure everything is ready for the next day of classes. We might run out of chalk or have a leak in the ceiling when it pours, but we fix things as we go and keep the students moving forward.
