G. M. Kirana Store

G. M. Kirana Store is our little place. The address is 9/4-133/A/13. We are right across from the Shai Garden Function Hall on Tombs Road in Tolichowki. It is a very busy area most days. Especially when there is a big wedding or a party happening at the function hall. When that happens the whole street is packed with cars and people in their fancy clothes. They often come into the store to buy small things they might have forgotten. Like safety pins or snacks for the kids. We sell all the basic grocery items that people need. Rice, pulses, oil, and things like that. The store is packed with goods from floor to ceiling. Every shelf is completely full. We have to use a wooden ladder sometimes to reach the stuff on the very top. Tombs Road is always moving and the noise is constant. You stop noticing it after you have been here a few years. We have been here a long time now. The local people in Tolichowki are our main customers. We know most of them by sight and we know what they usually like to buy. It is a friendly way to run a small shop. We don't have any fancy computer systems or anything. Just a notebook and a calculator. It is how we have always done it. The shop gets a bit hot in the summer but we manage.
