Family Provision Store

Family Provision Store is over in the SRT Colony, right on the Rein Bazar Road in Yakutpura. My family has been running this for a bit, and it really is a family effort. Sometimes my brother is here, or my uncle helps out with the deliveries. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always someone coming in for something they forgot to buy at the bigger market. We keep all the basic provisions, hence the name. The shelves are a bit disorganized sometimes because we get so many deliveries in small batches. Yakutpura is a crowded area, and our shop at 59 SRT Colony is no different. It gets quite loud with the scooters and the people shouting outside on Rein Bazar Road. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that move the warm air around. People come in to buy flour, sugar, or tea leaves. It’s a small space, so you have to be careful not to knock things over when you’re walking through the aisles. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here and that we usually have what they need. It’s just a regular neighborhood store where we work hard and try to stay on top of the stock. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it is slow, just to catch a breeze.
