Ekthas Kitchen The Unity Of Spices

We are located in Shop 5 of Sai Thirumala Towers. It’s right in the lane of St Pauls School in Hyderguda. The kitchen is small and we focus on using a lot of different spices in our cooking. That’s why we have the name we do. Hyderguda is a busy part of Hyderabad, and our little corner stays active. We spend most of our time grinding spices and getting the gravies ready. It’s just a few of us working here. We don't have a fancy dining area, it's more about the food itself. Sometimes the smell of the spices gets quite strong in the shop, but that’s just how it is when you’re cooking like this. We get a lot of people from the school nearby and the local offices. It’s a humble setup. We don't use any readymade pastes or anything, we do it all ourselves. It takes more time, but we prefer it that way. The lane can get a bit crowded with school buses and cars, so parking isn't always easy. We’ve been here long enough to know the faces of our regulars. We don't have a big corporate story. We just like to cook with spices and serve the people in the neighborhood. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till night.
