Working here at Durgabai Deshmukh Hospitals and Research Center in Vidyanagar keeps us all pretty busy. It's part of the andhra mahila sabha vidyanagar setup, so there's always something happening in the corridors. We have been here a long time. People from all over Vidyanagar come in. Some stay for a night, others just for a check-up. The research side means we see students too. It's not one of those glass-and-steel modern buildings that look like hotels. It's a real hospital. The paint might be old in some corners, but the floors are scrubbed every morning. I usually see the regular patients who've been coming for years. They know the nurses by name. It feels more like a community spot than just a medical center. We deal with a lot of cases every day. The morning rush starts early, around 8 am. Doctors walk in, families are waiting with their bags. We try to get through the paperwork as fast as we can, though it piles up. It’s just the way it goes here. Vidyanagar is a busy area, and being near the university means it's never quiet. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing. Sometimes the machines act up, and we fix them. That's life in a hospital. We’re just regular people working here, doing the best we can with what we have each day for the patients who need us.
