Durga Swathi Fabricators

It's usually quite loud here at Plot No: 5-78/23 on Doolapally Road. If you come by the shop, you'll see me or one of the guys working on some iron frames. Durga Swathi Fabricators isn't a big fancy office, just a solid workshop in the Ida area. We spend most of our days cutting metal and welding pieces together. The floor is always covered in small metal shavings and the air smells like burnt steel. It gets hot, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the tin roof, but we just keep going. My hands are usually stained with grease or soot by lunchtime. We started this place because we knew how to handle tools and there was work to be done in the neighborhood. People bring in their gate designs or window grills and we figure out how to make them sturdy. It isn't always pretty work, but it gets done right. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend an hour fixing a drill or a saw before we can get back to the actual job. That's just how it goes in a fabrication shop. We've been at this spot for a while now and most of the other shop owners nearby know us. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, some heavy machines, and a lot of hard work every day until the sun goes down.
