Dhathri Foundation

Our place is on Road No. 3 in Ganapathy Colony. It’s house number 16-10-56/C. It’s a pretty normal residential street, which is how we like it. We started the Dhathri Foundation because we felt like there were things we could do to help the community. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us. We spend our mornings checking in on elderly neighbors or seeing if the local school needs anything. Sometimes we organize a small clean-up or help someone fix a leaky roof. It’s practical stuff. We don't write big reports. We just write down what we did in a ledger. We’ve been here for a while and most people know us by name. It’s not about being a big charity. It’s about being good neighbors. We have a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s usually a bit disorganized because we’re often out and about. We don't mind the clutter. If someone comes by with a problem, we sit down and listen. That is the most important part of what we do. It takes time, and we aren't always fast, but we try to be thorough. We just want Ganapathy Colony to be a better place for everyone living here. We will keep doing this as long as we can.
