We are set up in Hyderabad at 210 Arechana Apts, which is tucked right behind the Shoppers Stop in Begumpet. Being in an apartment building for an office is a bit different, but it works for Designer Rocks Pvt. Ltd. The location is great because Begumpet is central, though finding parking can be a real headache for anyone visiting. Inside, it looks like a mix between a home and a workshop. We have converted the main rooms into areas where we can look at the stones and designs we handle. The kitchen area is mostly used for making coffee and storing samples in the cupboards. It is a bit cramped when we have a lot of new material coming in, and sometimes we have to stack things in the hallway. We have a balcony where we go to get some air when the work gets intense. You can hear the city traffic all day long, but it becomes like background music after a while. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; it is just a handful of us who know the business well. We spend our days looking at details and talking to suppliers on the phone. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and we don't mind if things get a bit disorganized during the busy season. It is just our little corner in a busy city.
