If you come looking for us, we are in the U S Residency building in Palace Colony. It’s right there in Himayathnagar, which is always buzzing with activity. Our office is 5-9-30/1/17, and it’s right in the thick of things in Hyderabad. Being near Basheerbagh means there is never a dull moment outside our windows. Csk Welfare Foundation is basically just a group of us trying to handle welfare work without making a big fuss about it. The office gets a bit dusty because of all the construction going on nearby, so we are always wiping down the desks. We have a small pantry where we make our own lunch most days, and the smell of spices usually fills the hallway around noon. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that; whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. It feels more like a home office than a corporate space, with mismatched chairs and piles of paper that we swear we are going to organize next week. We deal with all sorts of local issues and try to help people who walk in with problems. It can be tiring, and some days are definitely longer than others, but we keep coming back because the work feels real. We are just local folks trying to do our bit for the city we live in.
