We set up the Council For Planetary Health And Human Development in Balaji Nagar. It’s located at 15-21-31 in Kukatpally. Most people know the area because it’s always crowded with shops and shoppers. We’ve been here for a bit now. We think about things like health and how people are doing in the world. It sounds like a big job but we are just a small group working out of a regular building. Kukatpally is a fast place to live. There’s always construction or some kind of repair happening on the road. We try to stay focused even with all the traffic noise coming through the walls. Our name is a bit long, I know that. People sometimes ask us what we actually do in here all day long. We just try to help out where we can and make sense of things. We don't have a huge staff or a lot of equipment. It's just a few of us and some desks. We sit around the table and plan things out when we have the time. Sometimes we get frustrated with how slow things move but we don't give up on it. It’s a quiet office most of the time compared to the street. We aren't some big international corporation with fancy logos. We are just local people in Balaji Nagar. The air gets quite dusty here in the afternoons. We make sure to close the windows tight. We’ve been around long enough to know everyone nearby. We just keep doing our work every day without making a big fuss or noise.
