Chitneni Foundation

We've been over here in Secunderabad for a while now. Flat 123 is where we keep our things and meet up. It's not a big office or anything fancy. We mostly just look at what's needed around 10-3-150 and try to help out where it makes sense. Sometimes it’s food, sometimes it’s just talking to neighbors who are having a hard time. There's about four of us who handle the day-to-day stuff at Chitneni Foundation. We don't have a big staff. Most days involve just checking emails or making some phone calls to see who needs help with what. It gets a bit busy on the weekends, but we manage. People stop by the flat sometimes. We try to keep things organized but paperwork always piles up. It’s a lot of work but it feels right to do it here. We don't do big events or anything polished. Just small things that hopefully help out a few families. We’ve lived in this part of town for years, so we know the streets pretty well. If someone is struggling, word usually gets to us. We just do what we can with the money we have. It’s not always easy to figure out the best way to help, but we try. The office is usually open in the mornings. If we aren't there, we're probably out visiting someone. That's just how we run things.
