Chinmaya Stores

We are located at Survey No. 173/A in Nalanda Nagar, which is part of the Attapur area in Hyderabad. If you are near the A.G. Colony electrical sub station, you are very close to us. The store is just a basic neighborhood shop. We carry rice, dals, spices, and things for the kitchen. It’s a busy spot because of the sub station nearby. I started this store because there weren't many places to buy groceries right here. The shelves are mostly full, but sometimes we wait for the van to bring more stock. It gets very hot in the summer, so we have a small fan behind the counter that doesn't do much. People in Nalanda Nagar are friendly and we chat while I bag their items. We don't use plastic much anymore, so people bring their own bags. My brother helps me out in the afternoons. We don't have a big staff or anything. It's just us. Sometimes the kids from the colony come in for chocolates or pens for school. We keep those near the front. It is a humble place, nothing like those big supermarkets in the city. We just focus on getting the daily items to the people living around here. When the monsoon comes, the street outside gets a bit muddy, but people still make their way here. We just keep a piece of cardboard by the door for people to wipe their feet.
