Being on Shivam Road means we are in a central spot, which is handy for people living around this part of Hyderabad. I’ve been sitting in the passenger seat for more hours than I can count. The street behind the temple is a bit quieter, which is where we usually start the new learners off so they don't get scared of the big buses on the main road. Our cars are older models, simple and sturdy, which is exactly what you need when someone is constantly grinding the gears. I spend a lot of my time explaining the traffic signs and making sure people actually look in their mirrors. It’s a small operation. My desk is usually covered in folders and old tea cups. We don't have a big marketing team or a shiny website. Most of our business comes from people in the neighborhood who see us driving around every day. It’s a lot of repetitive work, going over the same turns and the same parking spots, but it feels good when someone finally gets their license and can drive themselves to work.
