Chanukya Jr College

Chanukya Jr College is tucked away in S. R. Nagar at H. No:7-1-302/23. It’s right there in Dasaram Basthi, which is a busy little area in Hyderabad. We’ve been running this place for a while now, focusing on the intermediate students who are trying to get through their board exams. The building is an older one, and we use most of the rooms for classrooms. It’s not one of those massive campuses with a sports field, but we have enough space for the lectures and some quiet study time. Every morning you see the students walking in from the main road, mostly looking a bit tired but ready to get to work. We spend a lot of time on the basics because that’s what helps them the most in the end. The staff here is small, just a few of us who have been teaching for years. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets, just good old chalk and blackboards. Sometimes the fans make a bit of a racket in the summer, but nobody really minds. We try to keep things organized, even though the paperwork sometimes piles up on my desk. It’s a local place for local families. We know most of the parents by name because they live just a few streets away. It’s just a regular college trying to help kids move on to the next step.
