Chand Bhai Kirana Store

Chand Bhai Kirana Store is a small fixture in the Surya Nagar Colony of Toli Chowki. You can find us at 6-8-451, right where the local lanes meet. It is a typical kirana shop with big glass jars on the front counter filled with candies and biscuits. We have been here for a while, serving the families who live in the apartments and houses nearby. The space is tight, and we have bags of rice and flour sitting on the floor because there isn't enough shelf space for everything. It gets very lively in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work and needs to pick up some oil or eggs for dinner. We don't have a website or any fancy machines. We just use a simple scale and a calculator to get the totals. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back, but we never stop serving. People in Toli Chowki know they can just call out what they need and we will bag it up for them quickly. It is a noisy, friendly place where we hear all the local gossip and news. We aren't looking to expand into some big chain; we are just happy being the place where the colony gets their groceries. It is hard work staying open so many hours, but it is a good life being right here in the middle of everything.
