Carole Nash Leather

We are Carole Nash Leather and you can find us over in Brindavan Colony. We’ve been working out of this space for a while now, focusing mostly on leather goods. It’s a bit of a quiet neighborhood, which is nice because we can focus on our cutting and stitching without too much noise from the main road. The smell of tanned leather is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have rolls of hides leaning against the walls and various scraps near the sewing machines. It’s a small operation, just me and a few skilled workers who have been doing this for years. We don’t use huge machines for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand with basic tools. Sometimes a stitch goes wrong and we have to pull it out and start over, but that’s just part of working with natural materials. We make bags, belts, and sometimes custom orders if someone asks nicely and we have the time. The workshop gets a bit messy with threads and offcuts by the end of the day, but we clear it out every morning. People from the colony often drop by to see what we’re making. It’s not a high-end boutique, just a place where real leather work happens every day. It keeps us busy and the bills paid.
