Carmel Industries

Carmel Industries is situated out at 72/121, near Gowrelly Road in Tharamathiet Village. It is quite a long drive from the city center, but the quiet atmosphere out here is nice. The air feels a lot cleaner than it does in the industrial zones. Our facility is a very basic structure. We have a yard out back where we store some of our materials. The main gate is old and makes a loud squeaking noise whenever it is opened. We have a small office area right at the front for our records. The rest of the space is where the actual labor happens. About ten people work here on a regular day. We usually begin the morning by checking all the equipment to make sure everything is in order. Village life moves slowly, and you can often hear birds or the sound of a tractor in the distance. We do not get many visitors unless a delivery truck is arriving. Occasionally, a stray dog will wander into the yard and hang around for a few hours. We have a small corner with a stove for making tea and heating up our lunch. The roof is made of corrugated metal, so the rain is incredibly loud when it pours down. It is a hard-working environment without any air conditioning. We just keep the large fans running all day long. Everyone knows what they have to do and we just get on with it until sunset.
