Being over here in Sri Nagar Colony is actually pretty decent. Cafecoffeeday.Ltd is tucked away in Flat 306 of the Krishna Lok Apartments. It’s not a big glass office building like you see in the movies, just a regular apartment block where people live and hang their laundry. Subashnagar is usually quiet in the mornings, but by noon, the bike parking gets a bit crowded. We have a few desks set up in the main room and the kitchen is mostly used for making endless rounds of tea. Sometimes the neighbors come by to ask about their mail or just to say hello. It feels more like a house than a company headquarters. The walls are that standard off-white color and we’ve got some old files piled up in the corner that we really should sort through one of these days. Hyderabad heat gets into the rooms even with the windows open, so the small AC unit has to work pretty hard. Most of us have been working here long enough that we don’t mind the cramped space. We just get on with the day’s tasks, answering emails and looking out at the other apartment blocks. It’s a simple setup at 500 072, nothing fancy, just people working in a flat. It gets the job done and we like being close to the local bakery for snacks.
