About Bombay Metal (India) – Metals & Minerals in Hyderabad
We’ve been here at Hill Street in Ranigunj for quite some time now. Dealing with metals is what we do day in and day out. If you walk down 5-1-527/2, you’ll find us surrounded by stacks of sheets and various metal parts. It gets pretty loud sometimes, but that’s just how the work goes here. People usually stop by when they need something specific for a project or if they’re just looking for scraps. We spend most of our mornings organizing the inventory and checking what came in the night before. It’s a dusty job, and our hands are rarely clean, but it’s honest work. The neighborhood has changed over the years, though our corner stays mostly the same. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just us, the tools, and the metal. Most of our regulars know to just come right in and ask for what they need. Sometimes we have what they want, other times we have to look around the back. There’s no big corporate office here, just a small desk where we keep the papers. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long out in the heat. It’s a busy spot, especially on Mondays when everything starts up again. We’ve learned a lot about different alloys and how they behave over the years just by handling them. That’s pretty much how we spend our weeks here in Ranigunj.
