Bhaskar Shopping & Convenience Stores

We’re located at 87/45/45 in the Shantiniketan Apartment building over in Barkatpura. It’s a handy spot for the people living in the building and the ones in the houses nearby. Bhaskar Shopping & Convenience Stores is basically a local shop where you can grab the things you forgot to buy earlier in the day. We see the same neighbors every morning and evening. It’s nice because you get to know what people like and what they’re looking for. The shop isn’t huge, so we have to use every bit of space on the shelves to fit everything in. It can get a bit cramped when three or four people are in here at once, but we make it work somehow. Barkatpura is a busy area, but Shantiniketan has its own little rhythm. We open up early and stay open until most people are back from work. It’s not a fancy supermarket with bright lights and music. It’s just a regular convenience store with a counter and some crates. Sometimes we just chat with the residents about how their day went while they’re picking up bread or milk. We don’t have a big corporate plan; we just try to keep the shelves full and the lights on for everyone. It’s a honest way to spend the day, and we’re glad to be a small part of the life here in the apartment complex. We're just locals helping out our own neighbors here.
