Bhaskar Medical College & General Hospital

Out here on SH-4, the Hyderabad Vikarabad Road, things feel a bit different than they do in the city center. Bhaskar Medical College & General Hospital is located in Bhaskar Nagar, which is part of Moinabad in the Yenkapally area. It’s a big place because we have both the college students and the hospital patients all in one spot. You’ll often see students in their white coats walking across the grounds or heading to the cafeteria for a quick bite between their classes. The hospital side is always active, with people coming in from the surrounding villages and towns nearby. It can get pretty dusty out here during the dry season, and the road outside is often busy with trucks and buses moving toward Vikarabad. We have a lot of different wings and buildings to keep track of, and sometimes it feels like there is always something being fixed or moved around. The staff works hard to keep things organized, though with so many people coming through every day, it can get a bit hectic at the registration desks. We see all sorts of things, from basic checkups to more complicated cases that require a longer stay. It is a long commute for some of us who live further away, but once you get here, the day goes by quickly because there is always something that needs doing. It’s a community of its own out here in Yenkapally, and we’ve become a regular part of the landscape over the years. We see the seasons change across the open fields nearby, which is something you don't get in the city.
