Berry Basket is located over in Sharath Nagar, specifically at 8 3 194/3/A in the Vengalrao Nagar Colony area. It is a bit of a residential spot, so we try to keep things quiet for the neighbors. We started this business because we wanted to focus on fresh produce, specifically berries and things like that. Our workspace is pretty basic. We have a few coolers and a lot of crates moving in and out every morning. It is not a fancy shopfront where you would come to browse; it is more of a hub for our distribution. The team is small, just a couple of us who have been friends for a long time. We handle everything from the sourcing to the final delivery. Some days the fruit does not look as good as we want, so we have to scramble to find better stuff. It is a lot of physical work and early mornings, which can be tiring. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We just get fruit and move it to where it needs to go. The address can be a bit tricky for delivery drivers to find the first time, but they usually get the hang of it eventually. We like being in this part of the city because it feels like a real community. We are not looking to become a giant chain; we just want to run a steady business that works for us.
