Basavatarakam Indo - American Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is located on Road No 10 in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. It’s a big institution and there is always something going on in the hallways. Since we are in the 500034 zip code area, we get a lot of local Hyderabad traffic, but also people traveling in from across Telangana. The research side of things means there are always people in white coats walking around looking at papers or talking in small groups. The main entrance is usually crowded with people coming and going. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to big hospitals. We spend a lot of time making sure the files are sorted and the computers are working like they should. The seating area in the main lobby is large, but on some days, even that isn't enough for everyone who shows up. You can hear the city sounds from the windows, but inside we try to keep things moving along as quietly as we can. The canteen is a busy spot where everyone grabs a quick bite between appointments. It’s a place where we just do our jobs every day, following the schedules and making sure the floors stay clean. There isn't much room for anything else besides the work at hand. We see a lot of faces and hear a lot of stories, but mostly we just focus on the task in front of us. It stays busy from morning until late at night.
