Friends Turning And Welding Works is tucked away in Shop No 09, right behind the Home for the Disabled. It is a small spot, but we manage to get a lot done in this space. Most days you will hear the lathe machine running or see the sparks from the welding torch. We handle a bit of everything that comes our way. Sometimes it is a broken gate that needs a quick weld, or someone needs a part turned to a specific size. We do not have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with scraps and projects we are currently working on. It is not the kind of place where you will find a reception desk or a waiting room. You just walk in and talk to whoever is not wearing a welding mask at the moment. Being behind the Home for the Disabled makes it a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice. We have been at this address for quite some time now. People around here know us as the place to go when something metal breaks. We do not do anything too fancy, just honest welding and turning work. It is a living and we take it one job at a time. The floor is always covered in metal shavings, and our hands are usually greasy. That is just how the job is.
