Balaji Rampal Kirana & General Store

We are located right on Moula Ali Main Road in Hyderabad. The shop is at House No 42-56/2, and we actually use Shop No 1 and 2 together to have enough space for everything. It’s a busy road, so there’s always noise and people moving about. We’ve been here in Moula Ali for quite some time now. Being a kirana and general store means we deal with a lot of different items throughout the day. One minute I’m weighing out a kilo of sugar, and the next I’m looking for a specific brand of hair oil for someone. It keeps the day moving fast. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of the main road traffic, so cleaning is a never-ending job here. We have a lot of stock piled up because people in this area buy in bulk sometimes. It’s a family-run thing, so you might see different faces behind the counter depending on the time of day you visit. We don’t have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just a practical shop for practical people. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to find things for the customers, but no one seems to mind much. We just focus on getting the right items to the right people. It’s a simple business model that has worked for us for years, and we plan to keep it that way.
